SAUNA & STEAM ROOM
Panacea Twin 1717
The Tylö Panacea Twin 1717 combines a traditional sauna and a full steam room within one coordinated installation, giving you both experiences at home.
As the most compact model in the Twin range, the 1717 creates two properly separated spaces within a relatively modest overall footprint. The Panacea steam room brings glass, black profiles and atmospheric lighting to one side, while the adjoining sauna adds the warmth and texture of timber.
The 1717 is available with different sauna timber finishes, including aspen or thermo aspen wall panels with a thermo alder interior. Tylö’s current specification includes an Elite control panel and Commercial Lite relay box.
Two Experiences, One Integrated Design
Panacea Twin 1717 is designed as a single wellness installation rather than two unrelated rooms placed together. The sauna and steam room sit side by side behind a coordinated frontage, but each retains the materials and atmosphere that suit the type of heat inside.
The steam room uses the Panacea system of toughened glass and dark framing, creating a light, contemporary space despite the high humidity. The adjoining sauna provides the contrast, with timber wall panels, benches and interior detailing producing the warmer, more enclosed feel associated with traditional sauna bathing.
On the thermo aspen / thermo alder version, the sauna wall panels are finished in thermo aspen while the interior uses thermo alder. Tylö also produces an aspen / thermo alder variant of the 1717, so the timber character can be chosen independently of the overall black Panacea frontage.
| Sauna Timber Finish | Price |
|---|---|
| Aspen / Thermo Alder | £53,990.95 |
| Thermo Aspen / Aspen | £55,039.08 |
| Thermo Aspen / Thermo Alder | £56,428.34 |
Heating & Controls
The Twin 1717 is specified as a complete sauna-and-steam system, with the heating and control equipment matched to the two rooms rather than added separately afterwards.
Sauna heating
The sauna side uses a Tylö Sense Commercial 8 kW heater, providing the higher-temperature, lower-humidity environment of a traditional sauna.
Steam heating
The Panacea side uses a Tylö Steam Home 6 kW generator, sized specifically for the 1717 steam room.
Elite control
Tylö lists the Elite control panel and Commercial Lite relay box as included with the current Twin 1717 specification. The Elite panel provides touchscreen control of the system, including temperature, operating time and connected functions.
