The Tylö Stella is the steam-and-shower system at the heart of the Vista range, available as a standalone wall-mounted column for creating a steam shower within a suitably prepared wet-room enclosure.

Rather than supplying the glass room around it, Stella brings the steam generator, shower controls, hand shower, steam outlet, Elite control and integrated LED lighting together in one slim unit. The surrounding room can therefore be designed around the bathroom rather than around a prefabricated cabin.

Available with 2.2 or 4.5 kW steam generation, Stella can be matched to the size, construction and ventilation of the room, making it a flexible option for bespoke domestic steam-shower projects.

Designed for Flexible Integration

Unlike the Vista range, Stella is not supplied as a complete shower enclosure. Instead, the steam and shower equipment is contained within a wall-mounted column, allowing the surrounding steam room or shower area to be designed as part of the bathroom itself.

The column has a black finish, with the visible shower fittings available in Chrome, Matt Black or Brushed Brass. The integrated hand shower, thermostatic controls and steam outlet are all brought together within the same compact unit, helping keep the finished installation visually clean.

Because Stella forms part of the room rather than enclosing it, the surrounding walls, floor, drainage and ventilation need to be suitable for steam-room use. The supporting wall must also be capable of carrying the column, which weighs approximately 45 kg when filled with water.

An overhead shower is optional rather than part of the standard Stella package. Tylö offers both simple ceiling shower heads and larger round or square rain showers, allowing the shower specification to be matched to the room and chosen fitting finish.

Steam, Shower and Control in One Column

Stella brings the steam generator, shower functions and control system together within one wall-mounted unit, reducing the amount of separate equipment that needs to be accommodated around the steam room.

The built-in steam generator is available in 2.2 kW and 4.5 kW versions, allowing the output to be matched to the size and construction of the steam enclosure. It is designed for continuous steam production and incorporates electronic water-level control, temperature protection and a built-in dirt filter.

Automatic draining takes place after use, followed by an automatic flush to help reduce mineral build-up inside the water reservoir. The system also supports automatic draining during operation, with the interval adjustable through the controls.

Operation is handled through Tylö’s Elite control panel, which is factory-connected to the Stella relay board. Elite provides touchscreen control of the steam experience and supports programmable settings and wireless connectivity.

Stella also includes integrated LED lighting and a hand shower. An overhead shower can be added separately, with the necessary connection already provided within the system.

For steam rooms used for less than two hours at a time, Tylö says dedicated ventilation is generally not required. Longer continuous use requires an air-change rate of 10-20 m³ per person per hour.
What maintenance does the steam generator need?

The generator automatically drains and flushes its water reservoir, but regular descaling is still required. The appropriate maintenance interval depends on usage and local water hardness.
